영화 맘마미아가 개봉하던 첫 날, 나는 친구와 함께 이 영화를 보러 갔었다.
학기 중에 영화를 보는 일은 극히 드문 일이기는 하나, 워낙 내가 메릴 스트립을 좋아하는지라..

이 곡이 나오기 전, 후로 나는 많이 울었더랬다.
(이 영화를 영화관에서만 세 번을 보았는데, 세 번 다 울었다, 그것도 펑펑)

나의 경우, 초등학교 중학교를 거쳐 지금에 이르기 까지, 엄마는 가장 친한 친구였다.
엄마가 마음이 아플까봐, 엄마 기분 좋으시라고, 등등 어이없게도, 살아오면서 내가 포기해야 했던 몇 가지 일들에 대해 엄마 탓이라고 이야기하곤 했었는데... (내가 열심히 안하면) 엄마 마음 아플까봐 나는 피아노를 열심히 배웠고, 엄마 힘들까봐 교회에서 친구들하고 안놀고 우리 가족 식사하는데 붙어 앉아있으면서 어른들 말씀듣고 (? 이건 좀 ;;) , 엄마 기분 좋으시라고, 전교1등 딸있다고 목에 깁스하시라고 중학교 때는 정말 인간이긴 한가 싶을 정도로 공부만 했었더랬다.
하지만 그것 보다는. 부족하디 부족한 나란 사람이 엄마로 인해 많이 위로받고 , 엄마로부터 사랑받고 지지받고,, 그랬다는게 엄마와 나 관계에서 주요 포인트(?)일 것이다. 내가 엄마를 위해 한 것이라곤 사실, 미래의 나를 위한 것이었을 뿐.

이번 어버이 날엔 내가 직접 카네이션 코사쥬를 만들어드릴 계획인데...
'못 달 물건'을 만들게 될 것 같은 비루한 즈질 아티스틱 자질을 어디서 발달시켜야 하는지..;;
